On 18th April 2014, Mr. Aroon Jivasakapimas, the Consul-General, attended the Opening Ceremony of the Thai Food Festival at Jusco, Kornhill. The festival was held during 18th – 23rd April 2014 by the Royal Thai Consulate-General, in collaboration with the Commercial Section, the Customs Section, the Labour Section, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (Hong Kong Office), and Thai Airways International (Hong Kong Office), as well as Jusco Hong Kong. During the festival, the Royal Thai  Consulate-General organised activities to promote Thai fruits by disseminating information on health benefits of Thai fruits, tips on fruit selection and serving, as well as recipes for famous Thai desserts, such as sticky rice with coconut durian and sticky rice with mangoes. The exotic Thai fruits and widely popular Thai desserts were also served as tasting samples. The six-day festival attracted approximately 6,000 people in total.
