Preserving Buddhism Tradition in the Czech Republic – On 13 May 2014, which is the Vesak Day or the World Vesakha Day, ‘Dharma Kittiwong’ Temple (the first Thai temple in Prague) invited 12 Thai monks in Prague and from other nearby countries to jointly organize the procession of Buddha’s relic at the Charles Bridge, the Old Town Square and the square in front of Náměstí Republiky station, along with Thai Community in the Czech Republic and Thai cultural performance troupe, in order to further promote the Buddhism in the Czech Republic. After the procession, there was also a religious ceremony held at the Temple aiming to continuing the great tradition of Thai Buddhists in Europe. On this occasion, Miss Sweeya Santipitaks, Chargé d'affaires, also joined the procession and hosted the ceremony at the Temple.
