The Royal Thai Embassy in Lima organized a business mission from representatives in Thai restaurant business to study the economic potentials of Peru in order to open Thai restaurants as part of the “Thai Kitchen to the World” policy from 8-13 May 2014. The group of businessmen received a briefing from representatives from Ernst & Young and the University of San Ignacio de Loyola. Business meetings with leading Peruvian entrepreneurs including Mr. Gaston Acurio, Mr. Johnny Young and Mr. David Sakihama were arranged to discuss future cooperation and possible joint ventures. The Thai businessmen also visited leading food and gastronomy institutions such as D’Gallia and Le Cordon Bleu which is one of the three branches opening in South and Central America.
