On 26 September 2014, Consul-General Jackrid Kanjanasoon and 8 representatives from Narathiwat Province, led by Mr. Saran Wangsattabongkot, Chairman of Narathiwat’s Chamber of Commerce, visited Wat Phikulthong Vararam where the representatives donated money to support the Thai language program for the Malaysian-Siamese Youth. The donation was received by Phra Vicarnvuthikhun, the Primate of Kelantan and the event was attended by Siamese volunteer teachers who were conducting the Thai language course at the temple. The donation was collected from the people of Narathiwat which includes Narathiwat’s Provincial Governor and the Chairman of Narathiwat’s Chamber of Commerce.
