On 6 December 2014, the Royal Thai Embassy in Hanoi, in cooperation with the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Ho Chi Minh Office, Thai Airways International, Thailand Foundation, Thai business community in Vietnam and Thai community in Hanoi, organized Thailand Day 2014 with an aim to showcase Thailand in all aspects, especially tourism, culture, food and fruits, as well as to strengthen the Thai community in Hanoi and the Northern provinces. 

 

            The event featured many activities including food and gift sales and games from 25 booths of Team Thailand, Thai business community and Thai restaurants, Thai cultural performances including Muay Thai show by a group of Thai Fight martial artists, Thai Traditional dances from Praneet Group dance troupe, live music from the Royal Thai Navy band, Thai fashion show by Team Thailand of the Royal Thai Embassy and Takraw demonstration and lucky draws. 

 

           The event, which has been organized for the 7th time, was very successful with great turn-out by about 4,000 visitors including local people, members of the diplomatic corps, foreigners and Thai people living in Hanoi and nearby and members of the Press. All proceeds of this event after deduction of costs will be donated to the National Fund for Vietnamese Children which is a Vietnamese Government  agency mobilizing resources to support Vietnamese impoverished children.
