Ambassador of Thailand to Sweden and spouse hosted a congratulatory dinner for the Thai student who received the Rune Andersson Scholarship 2015

            On 14 May 2015 H.E. Mr. Kiattikhun Chartprasert, Ambassador of Thailand to Sweden and Mrs. Jaruwat Chartprasert, his spouse, hosted a dinner at his residence to congratulate   Ms. Sawangjit Wongwanchai who received the prestigious Rune Andersson Scholarship 2015 worth 500,000 SEK. Ms. Sawangjit was a former Grippen Scholarship’s student under the Anandamahidol Foundation. She graduated from Chalmers University of Technology with a Master’s degree in Product Development, Mechanical Engineering in 2011. The dinner was attended by Gp. Capt. Manat Chavanaprayoon, Defence and Air Attaché and his spouse, as well as other officials of the Royal Thai Embassy. 
 
            The Rune Andersson Scholarship is managed by the Friends of Chalmers Foundation. Those who are eligible to apply for the scholarship are former Chalmers’ students who hold a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with excellent academic records and a few years of work experience. The awarded scholarship is intended to support scholarship holders to further study in Sweden or aboard in the fields of law or economics or any other discipline for which the applicant can show the value in a future career. There are over 100 applicants for this scholarship every year and Ms. Sawangjit is the first Thai student who received the scholarship. The scholarship ceremony was held on 12 May 2015 at the House of William Chalmers, Gothenburg in Sweden.
