1. The Royal Thai Embassy in Copenhagen and the Embassies of Indonesia and Viet Nam organized the ASEAN Summer Celebration at the Thai Residence 

 

            On 10 June 2015, the Royal Thai Embassy in Copenhagen in collaboration with the Embassies of Indonesia and Viet Nam organized the ASEAN Summer Celebration at the Thai Residence to showcase ASEAN cultures through food and cultural performances. The event was attended by approximately 200 participants including representatives from the Danish Government, foreign diplomats, businessmen, academics and media personnel. H.E. Mr. Le Luong Minh, the ASEAN Secretary-General also attended as a special guest. The guests enjoyed a buffet of typical dishes and cultural performances from the ASEAN countries.

 

            As for the cultural shows from Thailand, professional performers from Buditpatanasilpa Institute, Ministry of Culture of Thailand performed the Rice Harvest Dance, the Miniature Puppet Show, the Drum of War Dance and the “ASEAN” Dance. In addition, Mr.Sekpol Unsamran (Koh Mr. 

 

2. Thai Festival 2015 in Copenhagen

 

            On 13 June 2015, the Royal Thai Embassy in Copenhagenand the Thai Community in Denmark organized a “Thai Festival 2015 Copenhagen” at Havneparken, Islands Brygge in Copenhagen.

 

            Twenty-five Thai shops/restaurants in Denmark participated selling variety of Thai products, including food, desserts and snacks, fresh and dried tropical fruits, beverages, cloths and textile, and jewelry among others.

 

            During the whole day, approximately 20,000 participants enjoyed variety of delicious Thai food and Thai cultural performances from members of Thai Community in Denmark as well as performances from professional dancers and musicians from Bunditpatanasilpa Institute, Ministry of Culture of Thailand, as well as special performance by Mr. Sekpol Unsamran (Koh Mr. Saxman) and Miss Duangpon Pongphasuk (Pui, the Voice) sponsored by Thai Airways International and Tourism Authority of Thailand.

 

            Two lucky draw winners won round-trip tickets Copenhagen – Bangkok sponsored by Thai Airways International. In addition, a donation of 5,000 DKK from the Thai Community to Danish Red Cross was collected from the sale of “Thai Festival” mats.
