1. Ambassador of Thailand to Canberra paid a courtesy call Premier of South Australia, and later joined a luncheon in his honour at the Premier’s residence.
 
            On 23 July 2015, H.E. Mr. Chirachai Punkrasin, Ambassador of Thailand, with Ms. Mandy-Jane Giannopoulous, Honorary Consul of Thailand in Adelaide, and Mr. Monsak Jangariyawong, Counsellor, paid a courtesy call to H.E. Hon. Mr. Hieu Van Le AO, Governor of South Australia, and later joined a luncheon in his honour at the Governor’s residence.
 
            During his official visit to South Australia between 23- 24 July 2015, the Ambassador met with the Hon. Martin Hamilton-Smith MP, Minister of Investment and Trade of South Australia, the representatives from South Australia’s organizations; Adelaide Festival Centre, Department of State Development, Primary Industries and Regions SA, and also met with the Thai communities in South Australia.
 
            Furthermore, the Ambassador gave the opening remarks at the “New Business Models, New Opportunities, New Markets” seminar, organized by Thailand Board of Investment (BOI), Sydney Office, in Sydney and Adelaide to promote Thai investment and trade cooperation in NSW and SA.
 
 
2. Ambassador of Thailand to Canberra, attended ‘Reckless Valour’ Opening Night Reception at Canberra Theatre Playhouse, Canberra
 
            On 29 July 2015 at 7.00 p.m. Mr. Chirachai Punkrasin, Ambassador of Thailand, Mr. Vasin Ruangprateepsaeng, Minister, Mr. Krit Tankanarat, Minister Counsellor, and Royal Thai Embassy officials attended ‘Reckless Valour’ Opening Night Reception at Canberra Theatre Playhouse, Canberra. The contemporary dance 'Reckless Valour’ by Quantum Leap Youth Dance Ensemble features 3 young Thai dancers from Bangkok Dance Academy namely Ms. Nanthikarn Kaewkird, Ms. Montarika Jantakan, and Ms. Chanamon Junsangsook. Reckless Valour is showing at Canberra Theatre Playhouse from 30 July – 1 August 2015.
 
3. Ambassador of Thailand to Canberra met with the Australia -Thailand Association (Canberra) - ATA
 
            On 29 July 2015, Mr. Chirachai Punkrasin, Ambassador of Thailand, Mr. Krit Tankanarat, Minister Counsellor and Mr. Vathayudh Vichankaiyakij, Counsellor, met with the Australia -Thailand Association (Canberra) - ATA committee members led by Mr. Roy Clogstoun, President and Mr. Fred Cook, Vice President.
 
            On this occasion, the Ambassador thanked ATA for its role in bridging the Thai community and Friends of Thailand in Canberra and also for promoting Thailand and “Thainess” in Australia. People-to-people relations is an important foundation for a close and cordial relations and cooperation between Thailand and Australia. The Ambassador also stressed that the Embassy is ready and pleased to support ATA activities in the future
