Thai Kitchen to the World in Tasmania, a collaborative effort of Mr. Abhirat Achalabun, Honorary Consul-General of Thailand in Tasmania, Guilford Young College in Hobart and Suan Dusit International Culinary School in Bangkok was held during 23rd June – 3rd July 2015, with an aim to promote Thai cooking and Thai Cuisine in Tasmania.

 

            Thai Kitchen to the World was held for 3 consecutively years. The event consists of 1) Thai Cooking master classes by teaching chefs from Suan Dusit International Culinary School in Bangkok for Tasmanian Culinary School’s students and highschool students 2) “Thai night” reception on 2 July 2015. Two scholarships for 10 day Thai experience based at the Suan Dusit Rajabhat University were given to Guilford Young College’s students during the reception.

 

            The Memorandum of Understanding between Suan Dusit Rajabhat University and Guilford Young College to establish framework for ongoing cooperation and collaboration was also signed during the event.
