On 7 January 2016, H.E. Mr. Harsh Vardhan Shringla, Ambassador of the Republic of India to Thailand, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, the Minister of Foreign Affairs on the occasion of completing his tenure of office in Thailand.

Both sides discussed the upcoming activities between the two countries, namely the visit to India of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn in November 2016, the Official Visit of the Vice President of India in February 2016, as well as other bilateral issues. Both sides underscored commitments to further strengthening Thai – India relations at the bilateral and multilateral levels. Thailand reaffirmed the importance of long-standing cultural relations with India while the latter expressed desires to enhance bilateral cooperation, particularly in trade and investment, tourism, as well as connectivity.  Both sides agreed to work together through ASEAN so as to broaden cooperation.

H.E. Mr. Harsh Vardhan Shringla took his office in Thailand in January 2014, and will complete his mission in January 2016.
