Thais in Lebanon were reassured of support from the Royal Thai Embassy in Riyadh and the Royal Thai Honorary Consulate-General in Beirut in strengthening their newly launched Thai Community Club in Lebanon.

Mr. Danai Menabodhi, Charge d’Affaires of the Royal Thai Embassy in Riyadh paid a working visit in Beirut during 18-20 January 2016 and welcomed the establishment of the Club, run by 100 Thais living and working in Lebanon especially in the field of jewelry, Japanese restaurant and Thai massage and spa therapists. He met 30 Thais representing of those careers and praised their initiatives in creating the Club as a center among Thais and a closer channel to contact the Embassy and the Honorary Consulate-General.

While being thanked for its role in protection of Thais in Lebanon, the Embassy and the Honorary Consulate-General were also requested by the Club to support its project of learning basic Arabic language for Thais in Lebanon aiming to increase better living and working in the country. The project is under consideration by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand and hopefully to be approved soon.
