On Monday 17 October 2016, Mr. Svante Lindqvist, Marshal of the Realm, the Royal Palace of Sweden, received by Ambassador Kiattikhun Chartprasert and his spouse, signed message of condolences over the passing of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, at the Royal Thai Embassy in Stockholm. At the same day, Ambassador Kiattikhun accompanied by  Mrs. Jaruwat Chartprasert along with officials of Team Thailand, the officials and their families, and staff of the Royal Thai Embassy in Stockholm attended a function in remembrance of the late beloved His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej and then observed nine minutes of silence. The Embassy has opened for signing a book of condolences at the Embassy since 14 October 2016 for all Diplomatic Missions, Consular Representatives, as well as the Thai people and families who live in Sweden and over 1,000 people signed the book of condolences.
