On 18 October 2016, H.E. Mr. Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali, Honourable Foreign Minister, as a representative of Bangladesh Government, has signed a book of condolences on the demise of H.M. King Bhumibol Adulyadej at the Royal Thai Embassy, Dhaka.
Since 15 October 2016, the book of condolences has been opened at the Royal Thai Embassy for the general public. More than 200 people including Thai citizens in Bangladesh, representatives from diplomatic corps, international organizations, private sectors, and friends of Thailand in Bangladesh have joined the event in remembrance of the late beloved His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
The Royal Thai Embassy has also received letters of condolences from the international organizations in Bangladesh, private Sectors, and many prominent persons including Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate in 2006.
