On 7-8 November 2016, Mr. Bancha Yuenyongchongcharoen, Minister Counsellor, an representative of the Royal Thai Embassy in Spain went to support Thailand National Badminton Junior Team during their tournament in BWF World Junior Championships 2016 at Bilbao Arena in Bilbao, Spain during 2-12 November 2016. Thailand and Japan National Teams jointly won bronze medals in mixed team tournament. The Thai team also won a silver medal from women's singles, 3 bronze medals from mixed team of men´s singles and men´s doubles in individual tournament.
