On 18 April 2025, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs organized a special event, ACD Day 2025, to commemorate the 23rd  anniversary of the establishment of the Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD). The event brought together ACD Senior Officials and university students from Chulalongkorn University, Mahidol University, and Thammasat University, approximately 110 participants, aiming to strengthen youth engagement in shaping the region’s future. 
 

Mr. Paisan Rupanichkij, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, and H.E. Mr. Nasser Riden Thamer Al-Motairi, Secretary General of the ACD, delivered keynote addresses. In his address, the Deputy Permanent Secretary emphasised Thailand’s pivotal role as the ACD Chair, reaffirming the country’s commitment to advancing regional cooperation. He also underlined the transformative power of youth and innovation in driving Asia’s future development. The Secretary General of the ACD highlighted the importance of education and human resource development, describing them as the greatest investment for national development. He also stressed that high-quality education and continual skills development are essential to equipping the next generation for future challenges.
 

A key event highlight was the participation of student delegates, nominated by their respective universities. They delivered insightful presentations on critical themes including innovation, environment, and regional cooperation. Their contributions reflected the strength of youth voices and a clear vision for a more forward-looking region.
