Ambassador of Thailand to Mexico met with the Automative Cluster of Nuevo Leon

On 20 July 2021, Mr. Paisan Rupanichkij Ambassador of Thailand to Mexico met with Mr. Manuel Montoya Ortega, Director of the Automative Cluster of Nuevo Leon, which is part of the activities under the Royal Thai Embassy’ Economic Roadshow Project in Monterrey, the State of Nuevo Leon, Mexico on 19-21 July 2021.
 
In the said meeting, the Thai side was briefed about the Automative Cluster’s mission, as well as information on the potential of the automotive industry in Nuevo Leon, which is one of the leading industries which has attracted foreign investment in Nuevo Leon. In this occasion, Mr. Manuel Montoya has invited Thai entrepreneurs, especially manufacturers of both tier 1 and tier 2 products, to invest in Mexico in order to take advantage of the benefits of various trade agreements Mexico has with other countries, particularly the U.S., Mexico and Canada Agreement (USMCA).
 
Mexico is Thailand's largest export market in Latin America. About a third of Thailand's exports to Mexico are automotive parts and accessories.
