On 7-8 May 2026, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, will join the Thai delegation, led by H.E. Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister, to attend the 48th ASEAN Summit in Cebu, the Republic of the Philippines, at the invitation of H.E. Mr. Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr., President of the Republic of the Philippines.

 

The Prime Minister will attend the 48th ASEAN Summit to be hosted by the Philippines under the theme “Navigating Our Future, Together”, which will consider ASEAN’s collective responses to the impact of the situation in the Middle East, discussing key topics such as energy and food security and the safety of ASEAN nationals, as well as collaboration and efforts to adapt to an increasingly dynamic global environment. The Prime Minister will also hold bilateral meetings with leaders from other ASEAN countries during this Summit in Cebu.

 

Prior to the ASEAN Summit, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs will attend the Ministerial Meetings on 7 May 2026, which includes the ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, the 31st ASEAN Political Security Community (APSC) Council Meeting, the 38th ASEAN Coordinating Council (ACC) Meeting, and the ASEAN Joint Foreign and Economic Ministers’ Meeting to advance key issues contributing to regional stability and security.
