On 19 June 2025, Mr. Paisan Rupanichkij, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, chaired the diplomatic briefing on strengthening cooperation in the areas of public health and education along the Thailand - Myanmar border. The event was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps and International Organizations in Thailand. Mr. Chulvat Narinthrangura, Director-General, Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), Mrs. Pimwadee Sovaratanapong, Deputy Director-General of TICA, Ms. Jitvipa Benjasil, Director of the Social Division, Department of International Organizations and Dr. Phitchayaphat Wannasirikul, representative of the Ministry of Public Health also presented their work in the meeting.
The Ministry briefed on the Policy Framework on the Provision of Humanitarian Assistance to the Vulnerable Population along the Thailand - Myanmar Border in the areas of Public Health and Education, as part of Thailand’s policy to provide humanitarian assistance along the Thailand - Myanmar border. The meeting also exchanged views on potential areas of cooperation to strengthen health security along the Thailand - Myanmar border, including through training of health personnels, provision of vaccines and medicines, as well as other areas of mutual interest.
