On 30 October 2025, H.E. Mr. Phrommes Bhaholpolbhayuhasena, Ambassador of Thailand to Hungary, chaired a merit making ceremony at the Embassy’s premise to mark to seventh day of passing of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother. There were approximately 40 participants, including officials of the Embassey and Thai Trade Center, their spouses, and the Thai community in Hungary, attending the ceremony.
This seven-day ceremony is the first in a series of official mourning rites, with further ceremonies scheduled for the 15th, 50th, and 100th days following the Queen Mother's passing.
