On 29 December 2022, H.E. Mr. Ouk Sorphorn, Ambassador of Cambodia to Thailand, paid a farewell call on H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, on the completion of his tour of duty in Thailand.

Both sides appreciated the excellent relationship between the two countries, especially at the leaders’ level.
The Cambodian Ambassador congratulated Thailand on her success as the host of APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting, and DPM/FM Don commended the constructive role of Cambodia as the ASEAN Chair this year.

Both sides discussed regional issues and emphasized the importance of strengthening the role of ASEAN in finding practical solutions to the problems based on consultation, consensus, and close cooperation.

DPM/FM Don commended the Ambassador’s active role in promoting closer bilateral relations in all areas, especially in pushing for greater flow of trade and investment. The Cambodian Ambassador highlighted Cambodia’s economic diplomacy policy to enhance closer economic linkage between Thailand and Cambodia through promoting businesses based in Thailand to extend their operations into Cambodia, while also promoting more investment from Cambodia to Thailand.

The Cambodian Ambassador expressed his appreciation for all the support given by the Thai side throughout his tenure.
