On 22 September 2026, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with H.E. Mrs. Koumba Diop, Ambassador of the Republic of Guinea to Thailand with residence in Kuala Lumpur, who paid a courtesy call on the occasion of the Ambassador’s visit to Thailand to present her credentials to His Majesty the King of Thailand on 21 September 2026.

Both sides underscored the importance of further enhancing bilateral relations in areas of mutual interest, including trade, investment, development cooperation, as well as promoting high-level exchanges and exploring opportunities to expand cooperation into new areas. In this regard, the Deputy Prime Minister also emphasized the importance of advancing the Thailand - Africa Initiative (TAI) and reaffirmed Thailand’s readiness to strengthen cooperation with Guinea under the framework of South - South cooperation.
