On 11 February 2026, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Minister of Foreign Affairs, received a courtesy call from H.E. Mr. Muhammetnyyaz Mashalov, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Thailand with residence in Kuala Lumpur, after presenting the Letter of Credence to His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua.

Both sides exchanged views on enhancing Thailand - Turkmenistan relations, particularly in the areas of trade, tourism, and private sector engagement, as well as joint activities to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 2027.
