From 27 to 28 April 2025, H.E. Mr. Dusit Manapan, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, visited the Republic of Iraq and paid courtesy calls on the Minister of Health of Iraq, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iraq, and the Advisor to the Minister of Trade of Iraq, to explore ways to enhance bilateral relations, including holding of the 4th Meeting of the Joint Trade Committee between Thailand and Iraq, reopening Embassies, and the exchange of high-level visits. On this occasion, the Advisor to the Minister led representatives from Bangkok and Samitivej Hospitals, who were attending the First Iraqi Medical Tourism Fair and Conference in Baghdad, to join a discussion with the Iraqi Minister of Health to showcase their advanced medical and wellness services as well as to explore ways to mutually promote healthcare cooperation between the two countries.

During the visit, the Advisor to the Minister presented an award to Iraqi university students who won “Thailand’s Essay Competition,” a project initiated by the Royal Thai Embassy in Amman to promote knowledge and awareness among Iraqi youths.
