Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs meets with Executive Committee of the Netherlands-Thai Chamber of Commerce (NTCC)

On 12 February 2024, H.E. Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and H.E. Mr. Asi Mamanee, Ambassador of Thailand to the Netherlands, met with Mr. Hans van den Born, Executive Committee of the Netherlands-Thai Chamber of Commerce, at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.  

Both sides exchanged ways to strengthen bilateral relations including trade promotion and investment opportunities in Thailand and Thai government’s proactive economic diplomacy. At present, the Netherlands is Thailand’s largest investor among the EU countries, with over 300 Dutch companies investing in various industries in Thailand.

Both sides agreed to further promote cooperation in their fields of expertise, including agricultural technology, food, digital technology, water management, vocational education, as well as climate change adaption. The Thai Government places great importance to the conclusion of the Thailand-EU FTA negotiation, which is conducive to trade facilitation between the two sides.

As Thailand and the Netherlands are commemorating the 420th anniversary of their relations this year, both sides agreed to push forward the exchange of high-level visits to strengthen closer bilateral ties.
