The Royal Thai Embassy in Seoul organized its 2nd roadshow, this time, to introduce PTT, Thailand’s largest conglomerate, to the ROK business community. The roadshow consisted of a networking seminar in the afternoon of 15 May entitled “PTT Exclusive Networking Event: Exploring partnerships for future energy & beyond” at Four Seasons Hotel Seoul. H.E. Mr. Witchu Vejjajiva, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK delivered opening remarks in the event, followed by a presentation introducing PTT and its original and new businesses by Dr.Buranin Rattanasombat, Chief New Business and Infrastructure Officer, and subsequent presentations by PTT executives on the company’s new business areas – namely EV value chain, life sciences, smart electronics, and renewable energy (including hydrogen). Around 80 participants were in attendance from various ROK companies and economic agencies/associations, such as Hyundai Motor Company, Kia Corporation, SK, POSCO, LS ELECTRIC, KOTRA, and KOIMA.

The previous and current roadshows have created awareness among the ROK business community about the potential of Thai conglomerates that have gained recognition internationally and are now diversifying their business into new areas which match the ROK’s strengths and expertise. The networking and ensuing partnership will play a crucial role in fostering tangible Thailand-ROK collaboration going forward.
