The Royal Thai Embassy, Seoul, Partners with the Federation of Thai Industries to Promote Thailand-Korea Investment Cooperation

On 5 June 2025, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK, had a meeting with executives from the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) to promote more trade and investment between Thailand and the ROK, given the strong potentials for cooperation and the shared interest in diversifying trade and investment to reduce reliance on any market.

The Thai private sector recognized the importance of technological collaboration with the ROK in key areas such as batteries, artificial intelligence (AI), clean energy, hydrogen energy, and small modular reactors (SMRs).

FTI will inform its members of the upcoming “Sawasdee Seoul Thai Festival 2025: Discover Thailand,” to be held from 6-7 September 2025, and will select interested members to participate, with a focus on innovation and sustainability in line with the Embassy’s guidelines.

Additionally, FTI expressed its willingness to serve as a co-host and to support the Ignite Thailand-Korea Business Forum, to be held in Bangkok in November 2025.
