On 12 June 2026, H.E. Ms. Arunrung Photong Humphreys, Ambassador of Thailand to Stockholm, held discussions with Mr. Peter Lundberg, Executive Director of the Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law (RWI), at the Royal Thai Embassy in Stockholm. Ms. Pittara Navarat, Minister Counsellor, also attended the meeting.

 

On this occasion, the Executive Director provided a briefing on the Institute’s visit to Thailand in April. During the visit, the Executive Director and representative of the Institute held discussions with Thai agencies responsible for human rights issues, including the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Thai academic institutions. The discussions focused on potential cooperation between the Institute and relevant Thai agencies in implementing projects aimed at strengthening mechanisms and guidelines for the business sector in line with the principles of responsible business conduct, sustainability, and respect for human rights.

 

The Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law (RWI) was established in 1984 at Lund University, Sweden. It is a leading institution in the fields of human rights research, education, and international development cooperation, with an extensive network of partners and collaborators around the world.
