On 9 May 2025, Ambassador Arunrung Phothong Humphreys, together with Mr. Natouch Thammanuruk, Counsellor, attended the 38th meeting of the ASEAN Committee in Stockholm (ACS) at the Embassy of Vietnam in Sweden. The meeting was attended by the Ambassadors of Vietnam, Lao PDR, Malaysia, and the Philippines, as well as the Chargé d'Affaires of Indonesia. The meeting was chaired by the Vietnamese Ambassador in his capacity as the current Chair of the Committee.

During the meeting, Ambassadors exchanged views on the outcomes of the Committee’s activities since January 2025. These included engagements between the ACS and the Swedish Minister for Defence, the Director-General of Trade Policy of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Sweden, the Vice President and Head of Region South and Southeast Asia of Business Sweden, and representatives from the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE). The meeting also discussed plans for organizing the 2nd ASEAN Trade and Food Fair, scheduled to take place in September 2025.
