On 22 July 2025, the Royal Thai Embassy organized the “Volunteering to Create Happiness for the Elderly and the Disabled” activity at Shinagawa General Welfare Center to honour His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua on the auspicious occasion of His Majesty’s Birthday Anniversary on 28 July 2025. H.E. Mr. Witchu Vejjajiva, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, led officials and staff of the Royal Thai Embassy, members of Team Thailand, together and their families in organising recreational activities for the elderly, the disabled and the Center’s staff, totaling
approximately 150 persons.

Activities comprised traditional Thai music performances, choral singing, Muay Thai
demonstration, and games, which helped encourage the elderly and the disabled to engage in interpersonal interactions, in order to promote their physical and mental health. The event also helped strengthen the relationship between the Royal Thai Embassy, the local community and Shinagawa City, which was also broadcasted on a local channel by the City.
