On 7 September 2026, H.E. Mr. Vijavat Isarabhakdi, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, had a meeting with H.E. Mr. Andalib Elias, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to Thailand, upon the latter’s assumption of duty.

The Vice Minister welcomed Ambassador Elias to Thailand, and underscored the importance of further strengthening Thailand - Bangladesh relations by promoting cooperation across all areas, particularly through the convening of meetings under existing bilateral mechanisms and exchanges of high-level visits.

The Ambassador reaffirmed his commitment to promoting people-to-people relations, particularly through cultural exchanges and sports cooperation.
