On 27 June 2025, H.E. Mr. Russ Jalichandra, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, held a farewell meeting and hosted a luncheon in honour of Mr. Jaroslav Auxt, Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Thailand, on the occasion of the completion of his tenure.

The Vice Minister expressed appreciation to the Slovak Ambassador for his dedicated efforts in strengthening the bilateral relations and cooperation between Thailand and Slovakia, particularly the successful celebration of the 30th anniversary of Thai-Slovak diplomatic relations in 2023.

Both sides discussed ways to further advance bilateral relations, including the promotion of trade and investment, academic cooperation, support for the ongoing negotiations of the Thailand-EU Free Trade Agreement, Thailand's relations with neighbouring countries, and collaboration in multilateral fora.

Following the meeting, the Vice Minister hosted a luncheon in honor of the Slovak Ambassador, which was also attended by Ambassadors from European countries.
