On 23 June 2025, H.E. Mr. Russ Jalichandra, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, welcomed two Thai female students who traveled from Iran due to the ongoing tensions in the area, and arrived at the temporary shelter set up by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Van, Türkiye.
