Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs to attend the 46th ASEAN Summit and Other Related Meetings in Kuala Lumpur

H.E. Ms. Paetongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister, to attend the 46th ASEAN Summit and Other Related Meetings on 26 - 27 May 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, under Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship themed “Inclusivity and Sustainability”

During the Summits, the Prime Minister will participate in both the ASEAN Summit to discuss key strategic issues such as ASEAN Community-building, ASEAN’s external relations, as well as regional and international issues, and the 2nd ASEAN - GCC Summit and the ASEAN - GCC - China Summit to identify concrete ways to further advance economic cooperation amidst global uncertainties. Additionally, the Prime Minister is also scheduled to take part in ASEAN Leaders’ Interfaces with the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly, ASEAN Business Advisory Council, and ASEAN Youth. Bilateral meetings with other Leaders have also been scheduled. 

Prior to the Summit, H.E. Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will attend the ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting on 25 May 2025 to discuss strategic directions for advancing the ASEAN Community and strengthening ASEAN’s external relations. He will also participate in the Extended Informal Consultation on Myanmar, the 29th ASEAN Political-Security Community (APSC) Council Meeting, the 36th ASEAN Coordinating Council (ACC) Meeting, and the ASEAN - GCC Ministerial Meeting. In addition, the Foreign Minister is also scheduled to have bilateral meetings with other Foreign Ministers on the sidelines of the ASEAN meetings.
