On 29 July 2013, Phra Maha Supot Kittiwanno from the Royal Thai Monastery in Lumbini presented donation to Mr. Prem Bahadur Shakya, President of Nepal Buddhist Society. This donation is part of cultural and religious activities of The Royal Thai Embassy and the Royal Thai Monastery to support the project initiated by Nepal Buddhist Society for the construction of the platform for prayers and for the improvement of space around the Buddha statue situated in Macchegaon Peace Forest, Kathmandu. The ceremony was also witnessed by H.E. Ambassador Kanthong Unakul, Ambassador of Thailand to Nepal, and the Embassy’s officers.
