On 25th August and 29th September 2013, Mr. Chakri Srichawana, Consul-General, presided over certificate presentation ceremonies held in honour of those who finished their language and vocational training courses organised by four Thai associations in Hong Kong with the financial support of the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Hong Kong. The total number of 339 participants took part in varied training programmes, including (1) English and Chinese Languages, Thai massage, spa, carving, and Thai Culture for Youths Courses organised by Thai Regional Alliance Association in Hong Kong (126 participants); (2) Computer, Makeup, Bead Handicrafts, and Photography Courses organised by Thai Migrant Workers Union Hong Kong (111 participants); (3) Carving, Banana Leaves Handicrafts, Spa, Dim Sum Cuisine and Cake Courses organised by Thai Women Association in Hong Kong (52 participants); and (4) Thai Language, Thai Food and Dessert, Banana Leaves Handicrafts, Knitting and Crochet, and Artificial Floral Crafts Courses organised by Friends of Thais in Hong Kong Association (50 participants). These programmes achieved concrete outcomes in enhancing vocational skills; creating additional income; promoting useful recreational activities; and creating a strong Thai community.
