On 8 October 2013, H.E. Mr. Somchai Charanasomboon, Ambassador of Thailand to Sweden, paid visits to two Thai temples, namely Buddharama Temple in Värmdö and Santiniwas Temple in Haninge, to pay respect to Phra Khru Suttabuddhithat, Abbot of Bhuddarama Temple and Phra Khru Prakasbuddhayan, Abbot of Santiniwas Temple.

     Upon his visits, H.E. Ambassador Somchai had conversations with both abbots.  Both Buddharama Temple and Santiniwas Temple are regarded as the important spiritual centres of the Thai Buddhists in Stockholm and nearby towns. There are a large number of Thais performing Buddhist activities on a regular basis at the two temples such as almsgiving, praying and dhamma practice.   H.E. Ambassador Somchai praised both temples for organizing Buddhist activities in Sweden regularly.  On this occasion, H.E. Ambassador Somchai donated some money to the abbots of both temples.
