On 5 December 2013, Thai Ambassador to Argentina hosted a reception on the occasion of the birthday of His Majesty the King. 

     Ambassador Medha Promthep hosted a reception on the occasion of the 86th Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty the King at the residence of the Ambassador. The event was cordially cooperated by the jazz band from “Gendarmeria”, or the National Armed Force of Argentina.  The band played songs composed by His Majesty the King which were warmly welcomed by all the guests. Moreover, the Thai Embassy also prepared authentic Thai food such as Beef Massaman Curry, Chicken Green Curry, and Kanom Mo-kaeng (Thai coconut custard) for the guests to experience the taste of Thailand.  The event was honourly participated by diplomatic corps, Thai community in Argentina, Thai exchange students in Argentina and Uruguay under AFS programme, and representatives from government authorities, private sectors, academic, as well as the local media.
