On 12 March 2014, H.E. Mr. Krit Kraichitti, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, received a delegation from Department of Medical Services, Ministry of Public Health of Thailand, led by Mr. Prapon Tangsrikertikul, MD, Deputy Director-General, who visited Malaysia with a view to learning about provision of care to Muslim elderly persons. On this occasion, H.E. the Ambassador and the DDG were engaged in discussion in various topics including Halal medical services, promotion of medical tourism in Thailand, and provision of healthcare to the Thai labour in Malaysia.
