On 12th April 2014, Mr. Aroon Jivasakapimas, Consul-General, took part in the Songkran Street Fest in Causeway Bay, together with Ms. Benjamas Tanvetyanont, Deputy Consul-General, and Ms. Pratana Udommongkolkul, Consul. The street festivity was held during 11th – 12th April 2014 by the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Hong Kong Office, in collaboration with the Royal Thai Consulate-General and Team Thailand.

It allowed the Songkran Festival, the important traditional Thai New Year, to be promoted among the Hong Kong and foreign nationals. More than 2,000 people participated in the street activities, including cultural performance and games, that took place along well-known streets in Central and Causeway Bay.
