On 9 June 2015  H.E. Mr. NoppornAdchariyavanich, Ambassador of Thailand in Sri Lanka to the Maldivesvisited the Republic of Maldives to meet with high-level officials. Details in brief are as follows;

            1.Ambassador paid a courtesy call on H.E. Dr. Ali Naseer, Permanent Secretary of Foreign Affairs of Maldives to discuss on bilateral issues andthe update status of the draft Agreement on Visa Exemption for Diplomatic and Official Passports Holders between Thailand and Maldives including the possibility for the first Joint Commission Meeting between Thailand and Maldives. 

            2.Ambassador paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Yusuf Riza, Permanent Secretary of Economic development of Maldives to discuss on foriegn investment in Maldives and the update status of the draft Memrandum of Understanding on Investment Promotion Cooperation between Thailand and Maldives.

            3.Ambassador paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mohamed Anil, Attorney General of Maldives to accelerate the process of ratification on the Agreement of Transfer of Offenders between Thailand and Maldives. 

            4.Ambassador paid a courtesy call on Mr. Hussain Lirar, Deputy Minister of Tourism to discuss on the investment of Thai investors in torism business in Maldives and the update status of Memorandum of Understanding on Tourism Cooperation between Thailand and Maldives.
