On 31 October 2025, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Minister of Foreign Affairs, joined H.E. Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister, in an audience with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, on the sidelines of the 2025 APEC Economic Leaders' Week in Gyeongju, the Republic of Korea.

The Prime Minister expressed gratitude for His Majesty’s message of condolences on the passing of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother. He also reaffirmed his readiness to welcome and facilitate His Majesty’s visit to Thailand in December this year.

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the excellent relations between Thailand and Brunei Darussalam and discussed ways to strengthen cooperation especially on trade and investment, food security, halal products and medical tourism.
