The Royal Thai Consulate-General in Penang organised a Buddhist Chanting Ceremony, including offering Sangha Dana and lunch to Buddhist monks on the occasion of King Rama IX the Great Memorial Day (Navamindra Maharaj Day), on 13 October 2025. Phra Khru …., presided over the ceremony for the monks, and H.E. Mr. Psusist Wongsurawat, Consul-General of Thailand in Penang, presided for the seculars and led the officials, staffs, and family members of the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Penang to take part in the ceremony. On this occasion, Consul-General of Thailand in Penang led all participants in observing a moment of silence for 89 seconds.
