On 23 May 2025, Mr. Bancha Yuenyongchongcharoen, Minister/Deputy Chief of Mission of the Royal Thai Embassy, Seoul, discussed with Ms. Kim Misun, Executive Director of We Friends Aid to enhance cooperation with this NGO on providing health care services for undocumented Thai workers.

Ms. Kim informed that We Friend Aid is a non-governmental organization in the ROK and it is not health insurance company. It has been established to help each other among members and this NGO in solving medical problems for undocumented workers in the ROK who staying in the ROK over 6 months. It is advisory to contact 35 branches of Foreigner Assistance Centers in the ROK (except Chungcheong, Gyeongsang, Daegu, Ulsan for instance) to apply for We Friend Aid membership.

The Applicant must pay a non-refundable membership fee (10,000 won/month) and monthly fee (10,000 won/month). They will be entitled to receive a medical expense deduction at 563 hospitals and clinics affiliated with We Friend Aid in the ROK. The members will get approximately 25% medical expense deduction. However, the member can reimburse for limited medical treatment and expenses.
