Minister Bancha briefs delegation from Joint War College during their study visit on security issues in the ROK

On 14 May 2025, Mr. Bancha Yuenyongchongcharoen, Minister/Deputy Chief of Mission of the Royal Thai Embassy, Seoul, welcomed Maj.Gen. Wacharanan Kongsri, Deputy Commandant of Joint War College, National Defence Studies Institute together with the 6th batch of students during their study visit to the ROK. Minister Bancha emphasized the Embassy’s commitment to strengthen Thailand-ROK relations as a strategic partnership in all aspects by giving high priority to economic promotion, developing consular services for Thai people in the ROK and promoting the exchange of soft power between Thailand and the ROK.

The Royal Thai Embassy shared overviews of Thailand-ROK relations and the Embassy’s role in enhancing bilateral relations. Col.Itt Thippayachan, Army Attaché also gave a briefing on his mission. Minister Bancha exchanged views on high potential areas that the Embassy can enhance Thailand-ROK relations further at present, such as tourism, trade and investment as well as labour. They also discussed on the role of the Embassy in reducing problem of Thai undocumented workers in the ROK and publicizing the emergency response plan for Thai nationals in the ROK through the Embassy’s website and Facebook.
