On 10 March 2026, H.E. Mr. Vijavat Isarabhakdi, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, welcomed the group of 23 Thai nationals evacuated from Iran who travelled through Türkiye with the group who returned on the previous day (9 March 2026) and arrived in Thailand at Suvarnabhumi Airport.

The Vice Foreign Minister was pleased at the safe arrival of the group and expressed appreciation to all agencies concerned in facilitating and assisting Thai nationals in the Middle East. He also informed them that the Ministry is currently in the process of evacuating another group of approximately 69 Thai nationals from Iran and reaffirmed that the Government places the highest priority on the safety of Thai nationals.
